Payment is required in advance of each lesson. Students can choose to pay per lesson or book multiple lessons in advance.

Yes, students are welcome to ask questions outside of lesson time. I am happy to respond via chat or message and will provide clear explanations or worked solutions where needed.

I aim to respond as quickly as possible, and there are no strict limits, as I want students to feel supported between lessons. This extra support helps maintain progress and build confidence, especially when practising independently.

I use a range of online tools to make lessons interactive and effective. I have a tablet and writing pen, along with online whiteboards, so I can explain concepts clearly in real time, just like in a classroom. I also use presentations and subject specific software to support learning and exam practice.

Students can join lessons using a computer or tablet with a microphone, and a webcam is helpful but not essential. For the best experience, I recommend having a digital pen or a visualiser so you can show your working and we can work through problems together more effectively. No additional apps are usually needed beyond the lesson platform.

Once lessons have taken place, I do not offer refunds. However, I understand that plans can change, so I am happy for lessons to be cancelled or rescheduled with reasonable notice.

I use a wide range of teaching materials, most of which are bespoke and developed over my 20 years of experience. These include tailored worksheets, exam style questions, and structured lesson resources designed to match each student’s level and goals.

I also use online whiteboards, presentations, and subject specific tools to make lessons clear and interactive. Where helpful, I incorporate past papers and targeted practice materials to support exam preparation and build confidence.

I use a combination of theory and practice, but always with a focus on building real understanding and skills. Once students understand a concept, we practise it in different ways to strengthen it, address any misunderstandings, and build confidence.

I adapt my pace depending on the student. If a student needs more time, I break things down further and use different explanations until it clicks. If a student is progressing quickly, I introduce more challenge and exam style questions to push them further.

If something is not understood the first time, I simply approach it differently. I might use another method, a clearer example, or link it to something the student already understands. Praise, encouragement, and setting small, achievable goals are key to keeping students motivated and making learning enjoyable.

My lessons are structured but flexible, depending on your needs. Typically, we start with a short review of previous learning or any questions, then move into a clear explanation of new material.

The majority of the lesson is focused on practice, as this is where real progress happens. I guide you through examples first, then gradually give you more independence while supporting you as needed. We finish with a quick recap and clear next steps.

Students spend more time practising than listening, as I believe learning is most effective when you are actively involved, building understanding, skills, and confidence throughout.
