About Me

Hello! You've picked an amazing platform to learn English! Let me introduce myself. I am Asian-American, but don't let that deter you from selecting me as your personal tutor. I grew up in an English-speaking environment for my entire life, so English is my native language (and I'm also fluent in Mandarin Chinese).

Personally, I'm passionate in just about everything I do! I love meeting new people, and trying new things. I would consider myself an "athletic" person, engaging in activities such as badminton and road cycling. However, I'm also a gamer at heart, and I just love playing video games with my friends! I'm also an optimistic person, and extremely supportive.

Me as a Teacher

I believe that we all have things to learn from each other. So, while I will be your English tutor, I also look forward to learning new things from you as well!

My aim for students is to be able to speak just like a native English speaker. I know it may sound difficult, but I believe that nothing is impossible if you set your mind to it! I have experience in teaching students both in classrooms and online, and I have taught students of all levels.

Please do not be afraid if you have a strong accent, as I believe that in reality, this has little effect on others understanding you. The most important thing is knowing how to get your message across clearly and cohesively.

My Lessons & Teaching Style

I believe that the brain learns when it's having fun. Therefore, lessons will be casual and range from topics such as movies to recent events. We'll be mainly using American English, and work on your pronunciation and conversation skills. I also offer essay correction and provide guidance for exams such as IELTS.

I also know that everyone learns differently, and I will adapt to your level of English and ensure that you understand each lesson. I will create the materials for each class, but we can also work on a textbook you provide. I recommend two lessons per week for maximum efficiency.
